Area Network (LAN) or the Public Internet.

    XMeeting (Mac).
    3. Install and Register the system.
    4. Invite friends and colleagues to join. You will need your IP address.
    5. Video conference !!

Overview: Many desktop set-top solutions are available. They can operate in
"standard" or "high" definition.

    1. Purchase a Set-Top VC system (see Tandberg, and Polycom Web Sites)
    2. If your company has a gatekeeper (GK), register your system with that, if
    not, install it by connecting it to power and the LAN.
    3. If on a GK know your E.164 ("video telephone" number) or, if not on a
    GK, know your IP address.  Hopefully, the firewalls have been set up to allow
    H.323 VC.
    4. Videoconference with anyone in the world.
